About the position

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a full-time Database and Systems Administrator responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of the College's information systems. This role is crucial in providing the technological tools necessary for the campus community to perform their job functions effectively, thereby fostering an environment conducive to educational success. The Administrator will manage the Jenzabar campus software and ensure seamless data interchange with integrated systems, while also providing operational supervision of the IT department in the absence of the Director of Institutional Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support and maintenance of Jenzabar enterprise system and associated configuration and database support functions.
  • Provides training and support for Jenzabar enterprise resource system and functions as frontline Jenzabar contact to assist users as needed.
  • Provides support of web-based applications that interface with the Jenzabar database.
  • Responsible for SQL Database maintenance and basic SQL scripts.
  • Creates and maintains Formflow web forms on Jenzabar web server using Formflowtool.
  • Proficiency in Windows Active Directory, user administration and job scheduling.
  • Experience with synchronization of active directory users with Google Apps a plus.
  • Provides support for the Canvas campus learning management system (LMS) that includes training and troubleshooting.
  • Support data interchange between Jenzabar and related information systems including Canvas, Noel Levitz, Front Rush, Purple Briefcase, Med-Proctor, Healthy Roster, NAIA, IA Evaluation systems, Myculver, J1web, Powerfaids, JRM and other systems.
  • Responsible to support all systems that interface with the main Jenzabar system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all departmental and institutional information in accordance with the Privacy Act as well as established policies and procedures governing the release of information.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty/staff, and community.
  • Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in a technology discipline or computer-related field with experience in Information Technology.
