About the position

The Database Administrator will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of database systems, particularly focusing on the Financial Data Warehouse. This role involves optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical assistance to users. The candidate will work with Oracle databases and will be involved in advanced database development tasks, including performance tuning and creating new data models.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage production databases.
• Monitor database performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Direct programmers and analysts to modify database management systems.
• Review and correct database programs as needed.
• Assist in planning, development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems.
• Evaluate user requests for new data elements and systems.
• Perform data modeling and prototyping, including logical and physical data modeling.
• Maintain data dictionary and ensure uniformity of definitions.
• Execute procedures for database recovery from hardware and software failures.
• Assist with database software installation and analysis.
• Develop and test PL/SQL code, views, and tables for the Financial Data Warehouse application.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience in Oracle database design, analysis, and performance tuning.
• 6 years of experience in Oracle database structures and data analysis.
• 6 years of experience designing enterprise applications and/or services.
• 6 years of experience creating technical and functional design documentation.
• 6 years of experience within the software development lifecycle using Agile methodology.
• 6 years of experience with multi-tier system/application development.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of Jira experience.
• 1 year of Oracle Certification.
• 1 year of experience with data warehouse applications and/or database reporting features.
