Our client, a Fortune 500 Company, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join their growing team. This role will involve ensuring all databases are highly available while enhancing corporate business applications. The Database Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of the databases, as well as implementing and managing database backup and recovery strategies. The position requires a proactive approach to database management, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage. Additionally, the Database Administrator will collaborate with application developers to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs and support application functionality. This is a contract-to-hire position, with the possibility of conversion to full-time after 6 months. The role is based in Pomona, California, and offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MS SQL Server, with hands-on experience in SSIS and ETL processes. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential, as the Database Administrator will work closely with various teams to ensure database solutions align with corporate objectives. Experience with Azure SQL is considered a plus, as the company is looking to leverage cloud technologies to enhance their database capabilities.
