Leidos is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technical team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This position is part of a significant multi-year contract that involves the development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of large collection systems critical to government operations. As a DBA, you will support various database management systems (DBMS) including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB, ensuring their integrity, security, and high availability. Your role will involve implementing policies and procedures for database management, conducting performance analysis and tuning, and maintaining indexes and patches. You will also be responsible for disaster recovery procedures and data monitoring, working closely with the Database Engineer (DBE) to optimize PL/SQL and SQL performance, and to recommend new tools and strategies that align with business requirements.
