About the position

The Database Administrator at Leader Communications Inc. will provide essential Information Technology (IT) support services to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of database systems and related IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning tests, preparing test data, executing testing, identifying, analyzing, and repairing errors, and retesting applications or modules before they are implemented and placed into production. Additionally, the Database Administrator will prepare, update, and distribute end-user and system operator manuals that contain product design, procedures, and other relevant information necessary for system administration. The role also involves assisting users in identifying service requirements and developing appropriate technical specifications that align with user needs. The Database Administrator will provide advice on automating functions, integrating requirements with existing capabilities, and managing communication requirements. This includes configuring authorized unclassified end users and network devices, evaluating customer-prepared requests for acquisition and life-cycle replacement of end-user devices, and providing local Touch Labor services for unclassified computers and peripheral devices. Furthermore, the position requires the Database Administrator to resolve requests for unclassified computers and peripheral devices through remote administration actions, configure authorized end-user and network devices on the SIPRNET, and provide systems administration for Windows Servers. This includes performing web page updates, maintaining systems per security and policy requirements, and conducting backups and performance monitoring. Responsibilities

• Plans tests, prepares test data, executes testing, identifies, analyzes, and repairs errors, and retests an application or module before implementation.
• Prepares, updates, and distributes end-user and/or system operator's manuals containing product design and procedures.
• Assists users in identifying service requirements and developing appropriate technical specifications.
• Provides advice on automating functions and integrating requirements with existing capabilities.
• Configures authorized unclassified end users and network devices including computers, printers, laptops, and scanners.
• Evaluates customer-prepared requests for acquisition and life-cycle replacement of end-user devices.
• Provides local Touch Labor services for unclassified computers and peripheral devices including installation and troubleshooting.
• Resolves requests for unclassified computers and peripheral devices through remote administration actions.
• Configures authorized end user and network devices on the SIPRNET.
• Provides systems administration for Windows Servers, performs web page updates, and maintains systems per security and policy requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT environment.
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level III: MCSE or greater, CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with Windows database server support and web page/content development.

Nice-to-haves

• 8570 compliant certification is required to be able to start and must be obtained prior to a hire date.
