As a Database Administrator at EssilorLuxottica, you will play a crucial role in the management and maintenance of the lens commercial catalog. Reporting to the VP of Business Data Solutions and functionally to the Global Commercial Strategy Team, your primary responsibilities will include the creation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of master data related to the lens catalog. This position is pivotal in supporting the Product Assortment strategy and managing Transco Box for entities that have transitioned to the SAP ERP and Operations system. Initially, your focus will be on transitioning master data from the current state to a future state architecture, followed by ramping up operations and support in the new SAP commercial catalog architecture. Your role will involve activating lens orderability on systems, which includes managing tables that detail combinations of lenses for activation, tracking first sales dates, and managing end-of-life processes. You will also support the development, testing, and maintenance of digital catalog interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with EDI ordering portals. Troubleshooting will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will assist the Operations Team in resolving issues related to blocked sales orders or problems with lens sales order creation, requiring strong analytical skills to identify causes and implement resolutions. Collaboration will be essential in this role, as you will partner with the US Marketing Team to execute lens assortment strategies through effective product lifecycle management, including managing BU catalogs and customer exclusives. Additionally, you will coordinate with Business Units and Operations/Supply Chain for successful planning and execution of Lens New Product Introductions (NPI). Your active participation in lens master data evolution and integration projects will contribute to both corporate and local initiatives, such as Complete Pair initiatives, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the eyewear industry.
