About the position

The Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator at Insight Global will be responsible for collaborating with internal customers to deliver an enterprise-level database backend for top-tier applications. This role involves architecting, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting both development and production database environments, ensuring data assurance for users. The ideal candidate will also create and support AWS Aurora database solutions while mentoring team members and facilitating a quicker transition to cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal customers to deliver enterprise-level database backend for applications.
• Architect, deploy, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot database environments.
• Provide data assurance to users of the database systems.
• Create and support AWS Aurora database solutions.
• Mentor team members and help them get up to speed with cloud technologies.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS Aurora.
• 3-5 years of recent experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with DPA, Etcd, HAProxy, Patroni, pgbackrest is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
