About the position

We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team in the Financial Services industry, based in McAllen, Texas. In addition to performance optimization, the Database Administrator will implement and maintain robust data security measures including access controls, encryption protocols, and backup strategies to safeguard sensitive information. Regular database backups and recovery procedures will be essential to ensure data integrity and availability. The role also involves troubleshooting database issues and providing technical support to users, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Database Administrator will work closely with development and application teams to align database systems with business requirements, promoting effective communication and coordination. Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator in the Financial Services industry
  • Demonstrable proficiency in using Database software
  • Familiarity with EO/IR systems is a necessity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft SQL Server is required
  • Practical experience using MySQL
  • Knowledge of Backup Technologies is essential
  • Competence in Cluster Analysis is a requirement
  • Must demonstrate expertise in Configuration Management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Database Administration is a must
  • Experience with Design controls is necessary
