About the position

The Database Administrator at Accenture Federal Services is responsible for providing technical and operational support for on-premise databases. This role focuses on the planning and implementation of preventative and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring database security compliance, and performance management. The position requires expertise in database software installation, maintenance, and performance tuning, contributing to the overall efficiency and security of database operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for on-premise databases.
• Conduct disaster recovery, performance analysis, and tuning.
• Administer, maintain, develop, and implement database security policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend database management system (DBMS) products.
• Perform database and software lifecycle activities to ensure system performance and availability.
• Administer Oracle, SQLServer, and Sybase Database and Application servers.
• Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM, or 4 years of additional DBA experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
