About the position

The Database Administrator at Vennison Technologies Inc. is responsible for supporting various database systems including Oracle, Postgres, Teradata, and MySQL. This role involves creating and configuring databases, ensuring security for sensitive customer data, and managing database migrations to cloud infrastructure. The position requires troubleshooting, performance tuning, and maintaining compliance with security standards while meeting service level agreements for production support.

Responsibilities

• Support Oracle, Postgres, Teradata, and MySQL databases.
• Create and configure databases; enable security features for critical and sensitive customer data.
• Configure databases and security policies using AWS and Azure cloud.
• Upgrade and migrate databases from On-Prem to Cloud infrastructure.
• Perform quarterly security patching of critical databases.
• Meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution.
• Troubleshoot and tune Oracle E-Business and Non-ERP Oracle Databases.
• Contribute to technical performance analysis and enhancement.
• Utilize change management controls to implement code changes in production and non-production instances.
• Utilize core database skills to maintain key processes including archiving, monitoring, replication, integrity, and security.
• Implement and test disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain health and compliance of primary production systems by analyzing and periodically applying security patches.
• Work on provisioning users and management of tools including Identity Management and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Follow documentation, software development methodology, version control, testing, and migration standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems (or equivalent foreign education).
• Two years of experience in database administration.
