Empower AI is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Fort Huachuca, AZ. As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in implementing data models, database designs, and maintaining the integrity and performance of our database systems. You will be responsible for resolving database performance and capacity issues, as well as addressing replication and other distributed data challenges. Your expertise will be essential in installing and upgrading the mainframe product in the related environment, ensuring that our database systems operate efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will work under general direction to design, implement, and maintain complex databases. This includes managing JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, guidelines, and statistical methods. You will also direct the monitoring and administration of database systems, implementing performance optimization strategies such as developing or changing database indices, redesigning database structures, and reloading data into databases. Additionally, you will maintain database dictionaries and oversee the integration of systems through effective database design. The ideal candidate will be competent in all phases of database management and will have a strong background in SQL and the Metalogix Suite. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other IT professionals to ensure that our database systems meet the needs of the organization and support our mission of providing AI solutions for government agencies.
