About the position

The Database Administrator at I2X Technologies plays a crucial role in maintaining the operations of multi-user and virtual computer systems, ensuring system performance, and supporting the Information Assurance team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects for the Federal Government, particularly in areas such as national security and space exploration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems and virtual computer systems.
• Monitor and correct system performance issues.
• Backup and restore files, patch system and operating system software.
• Maintain software licenses and assist the Information Assurance (IA) Team with account management and system vulnerability management.
• Provide access to system logs and instructions for monitoring user accounts.
• Identify and respond to security issues/incidents.
• Document concepts and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of experience, or 7 with an advanced degree.
• Active Secret clearance, SCI eligible preferred.
• Adept with RedHat Linux and database administration experience, preferably with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB.
• Exposure to Microsoft Windows and awareness of IBM AIX.
• Knowledge/experience with CI/CD pipeline systems, virtualization, and software environment development.
• Ability to perform patching, upgrades, configurations, backups, restores, indexing, and scripting in Python/PowerShell.
