About the position

The Database Analyst 3 - (Full Stack Developer) at the University of Miami Health System is responsible for analyzing data from various databases and developing reports, dashboards, and related tools. This role leads projects, serves as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, and ensures the integrity and security of database systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design, development, implementation, and support of front-end and database systems.
• Ensures proper definition, control, and coordination of data elements and standards.
• Participates in the development and implementation of database management policies and standards.
• Designs and operates client-server database performance monitoring software.
• Ensures efficient implementation and modification of database systems.
• Develops and carries out project plans, including schedules and budgets.
• Reports variances from project plans and budgets with suggested corrective actions.
• Leads in the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries.
• Develops and administers policies and controls for data security and integrity.
• Serves as lead technical resource to user community and other divisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Working experience of 5-6 years with NodeJS, JavaScript, Rest API
• Five years or more experience with front-end web application development such as HTML/CSS
• Five years or more experience with JavaScript development
• Five years or more experience with Node.JS, Bootstrap 3 and Angular
• Five years or more experience working in a SQL Server database environment
• Experience using Python or C#
• Ability to decipher and debug code
• Ability to work with Git-Hub
• Ability to work under pressure to debug code and provide the correct solution

Nice-to-haves

• Software development experience preferred
• Well versed in Azure cloud technologies
• Deep understanding of architecture and data-driven development
• Strong in source code management, branching, merging with GIT
• Ability to work with Azure designer studio to develop user code base
• Experience building and maintaining a production application
• Ability to work in a system life cycle environment
• Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions
