About the position

The Database Analyst 3 - Full Stack Developer at the University of Miami Health System is responsible for analyzing data from various databases and developing scheduling and utilization reports, along with related reporting tools such as dashboards and balanced scorecards. This role leads projects and acts as a liaison between internal units, teams, committees, and external vendors, ensuring efficient data management and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design, development, implementation, and support of front-end and database systems using current database tools and technologies.
• Ensures proper definition, control, and coordination of data elements and standards, facilitating efficient data relationships and systems integration.
• Participates in the development and implementation of database management policies and standards for quality control and data administration.
• Designs and operates client-server database performance monitoring software, verifying the integrity of database systems.
• Ensures efficient implementation and modification of database systems.
• Develops and carries out project plans, including schedules and budgets, and reports variances with suggested corrective actions.
• Creates and maintains data dictionaries to improve organizational data integrity and facilitate user access to data.
• Develops and administers policies and controls for data security and integrity, including recovery and backup procedures.
• Serves as lead technical resource to the user community and other divisions in database design, development, and administration.
• Maintains knowledge of current products, database management, programming techniques, and related information systems technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in database analysis and development.
• Software development experience preferred, particularly as a Full Stack Node.js developer with strong hands-on experience in SQL, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Working experience of 5-6 years with NodeJS, JavaScript, and Rest API.
• Five years or more experience with front-end web application development such as HTML/CSS.
• Five years or more experience with JavaScript development.
• Five years or more experience with Node.JS, Bootstrap 3, and Angular.
• Five years or more experience working in a SQL Server database environment.
• Experience using Python or C#.
