About the position

The Database Analyst 3 - (Full Stack Developer) at the University of Miami is responsible for analyzing data from various databases and developing reports, dashboards, and related tools. This role involves leading projects, serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the integrity and security of database systems. The position requires a strong background in full-stack development, particularly with Node.js and SQL, and emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement efficient and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design, development, implementation, and support of front-end and database systems.
• Ensures proper definition, control, and coordination of data elements and standards.
• Participates in the development and implementation of database management policies and standards.
• Designs and operates client-server database performance monitoring software.
• Develops and carries out project plans, including schedules and budgets.
• Leads in the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries.
• Develops and administers policies and controls for data security and integrity.
• Serves as lead technical resource to user community and other divisions.
• Maintains knowledge of current products, database management, and programming techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Full Stack Node.js development.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle, and MySQL databases.
• Working experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and REST API.
• Ability to debug code and work under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Python or C#.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience with Git for source code management.
