About the position
The Database Analyst (Cloud Solution Analyst) role is focused on enhancing data management and reporting capabilities through SQL and Python ETL processes. The position requires collaboration with business teams to refine data models and improve existing ETL code, ensuring effective data warehousing solutions are in place. This is a long-term contract position that emphasizes problem-solving skills and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Refine Data Warehouse Model.
- Improve existing Python ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) code.
- Work with business teams to identify data reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Data Modeling experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, ideally with experience in MS SQL Server and Google Big Query.
- Hands-on experience in Python ETL coding.
- Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, SQL Alchemy, etc.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Airflow, NiFi, dbt, or similar.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services.
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse methodologies like Inmon, Kimball, or Data Vault.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Git, Terraform, etc.
- Proficiency in reporting tools like Tableau or R Shiny.
- Experience working with public health data is a plus.
