About the position

The Database Analyst position is a temporary role focused on data migration processes, specifically transitioning data from DB2-LUW to a PostgreSQL environment. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, developing migration strategies, and collaborating with application development teams to optimize ETL processes. This hybrid position requires onsite availability as directed by the client.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and migrating DB2-LUW data to a PostgreSQL environment
• Planning, executing, and validating data migration while ensuring data integrity
• Developing data migration strategies, including data cleansing and validation processes
• Creating complex SQL scripts and stored procedures for the ETL process
• Collaborating with Application Development SMEs to ensure accurate data mapping and optimized ETL
• Maintaining documentation and progress status on a SharePoint site

Requirements

• Experience with data migration processes (5+ years)
• Experience with SQL and creating Stored Procedures (5+ years)
• Experience with a relational database, such as DB2, SQL Server (3+ years)
• Experience with PostgreSQL (1+ years)
• Experience with DBeaver Tool or IBM Data Studio (1+ years)
• Experience with Erwin Data Modeling Tool (1+ years)
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (1+ years)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and DB2-LUW export utilities
• Experience with Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits and Tax
• Experience with data mapping process and best practices
