About the position

The Marketing Database Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and analyzing database-driven marketing initiatives within the casino environment. This position focuses on ensuring data integrity, tracking performance, and collaborating with various teams to enhance customer engagement through effective direct mail campaigns. The analyst will utilize SQL and other reporting tools to assess promotion effectiveness and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with tools and vendors to create and track database-driven mailing lists throughout offer lifecycles.
  • Works with frontline team members to resolve issues related to direct mail offers.
  • Ensures database integrity, maintaining data hygiene and security, and updating NCOA records.
  • Maintains and analyzes the Player Tracking Database for performance monitoring.
  • Coordinates direct mail projects with the Art Department and vendors to attract and retain customers.
  • Ensures data integrity across all sources while troubleshooting data-related concerns with marketing and IT teams.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to assess promotion effectiveness and revenue impact.
  • Prepares accurate reports and audits on direct mail initiatives and provides campaign analyses.
  • Utilizes and updates SQL processes to analyze various data sources.
  • Demonstrates leadership, reliability, problem-solving skills, and effective communication while adapting to changing environments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with Slot Player Tracking, Casino Management and Casino marketing systems.
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and other database reporting applications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office Professional software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft SQL Server, Access, and Excel.
  • Practical knowledge in accumulating and integrating data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs and flow charts.
  • Proven experience in the use of computer systems, including database systems, software, data retrieval methodologies, and quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information.
  • Must be competent with various PC-based software programs, especially in database and spreadsheet programs.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of casino-related work experience and/or training with a college degree in marketing, database, or development is preferred.
