About the position

The Database Analyst position is focused on managing and maintaining database systems at the client's site in Charleston, WV. The role requires a strong background in database management, system analysis, and project control techniques, with an emphasis on ensuring system functionality aligns with business needs. This is a temporary project expected to last 12 months, with the possibility of extensions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate system requests and develop work plans for system development and maintenance.
• Maintain database systems ensuring their performance and security.
• Work closely with project managers and business analysts to ensure system functionality meets business needs.
• Ensure proper documentation of system design and development processes.
• Provide troubleshooting and support to system users.
• Evaluate existing systems for improvement opportunities.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Charleston, WV.
• Database management experience.
• Experience with system analysis and project control techniques (3+ years).
• Experience with data processing concepts and equipment usage (3+ years).
• Experience in developing and maintaining complex systems and evaluating system requests (3+ years).
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the development and maintenance of large-scale systems.
• Experience with database structures and documentation standards.
