About the position

As a Database Analyst/Technical Targeting at GDIT, you will deliver insights that help clients transform data into actionable solutions. This role involves analyzing customer requirements, providing technical solutions, and designing and administering database management systems. You will play a crucial role in addressing big-data challenges and advancing client missions, ensuring safety and smarter operations for the future.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Applies knowledge of API for data services and databases.
• Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates, installs, and administers database management systems.
• Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
• Prepares system requirements, source analysis, and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.
• Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
• May serve as a team or task lead.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience with 3+ years of customer specific experience is required.
• Ability to identify and assess the right entities and the right vulnerabilities and technology trends to enable new collection operations.
• Ability to confidently deliver clear and concise briefings.
• Strong analytic, research, and investigative skills combined with ops sense, personal initiative, and some technical expertise.
• Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations desired.
• Experience identifying targeting leads through the exploitation of all-source databases and specialized tools desired.
• Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices desired.
• Formal training or certification as a Technical Targeter desired.
• Overseas experience supporting collection operations and information sharing.
