About the position

As a Database Analyst/Technical Targeting at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights for clients. This position focuses on providing technical solutions to complex problems, ensuring the effective design, development, and administration of database management systems. Your work will directly contribute to advancing client missions and addressing big-data challenges.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to complex problems.
• Apply knowledge of API for data services and databases.
• Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, install, and administer database management systems.
• Implement databases considering access methods, access time, batch processes, and security.
• Prepare system requirements, source analysis, and process analyses throughout database implementation.
• Define database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and trends.
• Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
• Serve as a team or task lead when necessary.

Requirements

• 8+ years of related experience with 7+ years of customer-specific experience.
• Ability to identify and assess the right entities and vulnerabilities for new collection operations.
• Strong analytic, research, and investigative skills with personal initiative and technical expertise.
• Experience in Intelligence Operations/Analysis/Support to Field Operations is desired.
• Experience identifying targeting leads through all-source databases and specialized tools is desired.
• Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices is desired.
• Formal training or certification as a Technical Targeter is desired.
• Overseas experience supporting collection operations and information sharing.
