About the position

The Database Analyst position at the Public Safety IT Delivery Center (PSITDC) involves providing database design, development, and support for databases utilized by the Pennsylvania State Police and associated vendors. The role encompasses all phases of database development activities, including planning, design, implementation, and data administration, while ensuring quality assurance and data cleanup. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment and contribute to critical public safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide database design, development, and support for databases.
  • Support the application development lifecycle including planning, design, and implementation.
  • Conduct data migration and quality assurance activities.
  • Perform data cleanup and administration tasks.
  • Participate in status meetings to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Independently analyze issues and implement corrections efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any information technology field or an associate's degree with two years of IT experience.
  • Minimum of one year as an Applications Developer 1 or Information Technology Generalist 1, or four years of IT experience with database analysis and design.
  • Experience in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with database administration tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of public safety IT systems.
