About the position

We are seeking a Data Quality Analyst to join our team in Rosemont, Illinois. In this role, you will be expected to analyze and address issues with varying data sets, working with metadata to identify and build data quality rules. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry, allowing you to contribute significantly to our data governance efforts and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards. You will leverage your skills in SQL and Power BI to produce meaningful insights and help make data-driven decisions from day one. As a Data Quality Analyst, you will analyze large data sets, driving through and resolving issues around the data. You will work closely with metadata to identify and build data quality rules, ensuring that the data remains in alignment with its source and that there are no discrepancies in how it is interpreted. Your role will also involve understanding and interpreting language requirements from a business perspective and translating them into data quality metrics. In addition to your analytical responsibilities, you will contribute to data governance efforts within the company, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards. You will conduct data analysis and begin building data quality from day one, utilizing various tools and technologies to effectively perform your tasks and contribute to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large data sets, driving through and resolving issues around the data.
  • Work with metadata to identify and build data quality rules.
  • Understand and interpret language requirements from a business perspective and translate them into data quality metrics.
  • Ensure that the data remains in alignment with its source and that there are no discrepancies in how it is interpreted.
  • Contribute to data governance efforts within the company, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Conduct data analysis and begin building data quality from day one.
  • Leverage SQL and Power BI in daily tasks to produce meaningful insights and help make data-driven decisions.
  • Use CRM, Database, Database Object, Database System, DB2 Database, AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Business Intelligence (BI), Create Dashboards, and Data Analysis skills to effectively perform tasks and contribute to the team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Database and Database Objects
  • Familiarity with Database Systems and DB2 Database
  • Proficient in AB Testing methods and techniques
  • Understanding of Backup Technologies
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and processes
  • Ability to Create Dashboards for data visualization
  • Strong skills in Data Analysis
  • SQL knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in Power BI
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
