Responsibilities

  • Analyze difficult and often complex data-related problems, developing innovative solutions to support business objectives and operational efficiency.
  • Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level technical team members, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Influence and shape organizational policies, practices, and procedures by providing data-driven recommendations and insights.
  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets, applying your deep knowledge of the field.
  • Apply your specialized expertise within your discipline to address specific challenges and opportunities, while also drawing on broad knowledge of related areas as needed.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, to ensure data analysis supports broader organizational goals and initiatives.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing large projects.
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Deep knowledge of data analysis techniques, tools, and methodologies, typically obtained through education combined with practical experience.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching and mentoring technical teams, as well as delegating tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex data challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others regarding policies and practices.
  • Recognized as having a specialty within the data analysis discipline, with broad knowledge that may extend into project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a government or defense-related environment.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis software and tools, such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Knowledge of best practices in data governance and data quality management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
