About the position

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the general supervision of the Senior Director - IT and/or Network Administrator, work as a member of Carmel Unified School District's Technology and Data Services staff to maintain, improve, and refine the district's data and storage management systems. Work closely with vendors, technical and administrative personnel, acting as technical lead in assigned IT related projects including evaluating, testing and recommending new software and technology-related procedures and policies. Stay abreast of developments in the field and be adaptive to meet the growing needs of information technology in the educational environment in areas such as data systems, internet, and voice.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, improve, and refine the district's data and storage management systems.
  • Act as technical lead in assigned IT related projects.
  • Evaluate, test, and recommend new software and technology-related procedures and policies.
  • Work closely with vendors, technical and administrative personnel.
  • Stay updated on developments in the field of information technology.
