About the position

We are currently seeking an experienced Database and Application Coordinator to join our team at the National Board for Certified Counselors Inc. This role is essential for managing and organizing key applications, processes, activities, and resources within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of SQL databases and a proven track record in IT initiatives. This position requires onsite availability in Greensboro, NC, and is designed for individuals who are passionate about database management and application coordination. As the Database and Application Coordinator, you will work closely with business managers to ensure that all applications and processes are aligned with the organization's goals. You will be responsible for coordinating with vendors to organize and track application development, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed about the status of their projects. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will need to present a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. In addition to managing application development, you will also execute User Acceptance Testing and/or Application Testing to ensure that all software applications meet the required standards. Your ability to manage concurrent projects while keeping all key parties informed will be crucial to your success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Works with key stakeholders to gather requirements for software applications, business processes, and database development.
  • Executes User Acceptance Testing and/or Application Testing.
  • Presents a professional demeanor and communicates with the required level of expertise, while considering the stakeholder's technical knowledge.
  • Works with the appropriate vendors, technical staff, business users, and partners to identify appropriate solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in management information systems (MIS), computer science (CS), engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of information technology applications, databases, processes, software, and hardware.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects while keeping all key parties abreast of their project's status.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
