The Database and BI Developer position at Sierra Pacific Industries involves designing, developing, and maintaining databases and business intelligence solutions using Power BI and Azure SQL. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain databases, data warehouses, and models on Azure SQL.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI and DAX.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for BI solutions.
  • Perform data analysis, validation, and mapping/design documentation.
  • Develop and execute a reporting and Business Intelligence plan utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in reporting and analytics.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Certification is required.
  • 4 years of relevant experience as a SQL Server Developer/BI Developer.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI and experience with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL Server.
  • Working knowledge of IBM Db2 database is preferable.
  • Proficient in database modeling and data warehouse design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in designing and developing reports and dashboards.
  • Independently motivated and detail-oriented.
