About the position

The Database Application Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining databases across the organization, ensuring high levels of data availability. This role involves evaluating technology components, designing data structures, and resolving database issues to support the organization's data management needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and advise on all technology components for database management systems and applications.
• Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards.
• Identify inefficiencies in current databases and investigate solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues.
• Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.

Requirements

• Expertise in MySQL and Oracle.
• Experience with database migration and maintenance.
• Proficiency in configuring web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx) for integration with PHP.
• Ability to identify and resolve compatibility issues between different PHP versions and Red Hat 8.
• Strong knowledge of PHP and its dependencies, including specific extensions and libraries.
• Skilled in reviewing and updating Python and Shell scripts for compatibility with Red Hat 8.
