9th Way Insignia is seeking a Database Architect to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically within the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and the Office of Information Security (OIS). This position is crucial for the implementation of the Heuristic Behavior Analytics (HBA) project, which is a key component of the VA's defensive security strategy. The Database Architect will serve as the primary point of contact for the HBA technical baseline, overseeing the day-to-day deployment and operations and maintenance (O&M) of the system. The successful candidate will ensure that the HBA technical scope is delivered within budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The Database Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure database solutions tailored to the organization's requirements. This role requires a solid background in systems architecture, cybersecurity, and risk management, along with a passion for developing robust security measures. The candidate will need to design, implement, test, and maintain the security and integrity of digital solutions against existing and potential threats, adhering to Federal standards. In addition to technical skills, the Database Architect must effectively translate user needs into database design, create database management processes, and maintain detailed documentation. The role involves collaboration with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of database systems with applications.
