About the position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a talented and experienced Database Infrastructure Architect to support the Department of the Navy Chief Information Office. This role involves documenting and linking infrastructure software and hardware investments to facilitate modernization and rationalization activities, as well as building architecture models to capture relationships within the Navy Enterprise Information Environment Mission Area. The position is part of a high-performing team and requires a strong background in data infrastructure architecture.

Responsibilities

• Document and link infrastructure software and hardware investments in detail to facilitate modernization/rationalization activities.
• Build architecture models to capture relationships and facilitate modernization/rationalization activities.
• Use infrastructure architecture data for comparative analytics.

Requirements

• 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• 10 years of experience in Data infrastructure architecture.
• Experience in documenting as a Service (aaS) offerings for comparison and effectiveness measurement.
• Strong background in mapping complex relationships between infrastructure software and hardware investments.
• Knowledge of software tools/suites to build architecture models.
• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Hold a Secret level security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in Enterprise Architecture.
• Familiarity with ARIS/EKR software tools.
