About the position

The Database Architect 4 position at Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) involves working with the Department of the Navy Chief Information Office to document and align the Navy Enterprise Information Environment Mission Area with the Navy Enterprise Architecture. The role focuses on building architecture models and facilitating modernization activities through detailed documentation of infrastructure software and hardware investments. This position is part of a small, high-performing team and requires a strong background in data infrastructure architecture.

Responsibilities

• Document and link infrastructure software and hardware investments in detail to facilitate modernization/rationalization activities.
• Build architecture models to capture relationships and facilitate modernization/rationalization activities.
• Use infrastructure architecture data for comparative analytics.

Requirements

• 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• 10 years of experience in Data infrastructure architecture.
• Experience in documenting as a Service (aaS) offerings for comparison and effectiveness measurement.
• Strong background in mapping complex relationships between infrastructure software and hardware investments.
• Knowledge of software tools/suites to build architecture models.
• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Hold a Secret level security clearance.
