The Database Architect will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the architecture of the database systems within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of data warehouse concepts and the ability to provide subject matter expertise in discussions surrounding data warehousing. The Database Architect will collaborate closely with District stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring that it aligns with the strategic goals of the organization. In this role, the Database Architect will be responsible for providing expert recommendations on data warehouse decisions, ensuring that IT decisions are in harmony with the overarching strategic goals of the data warehouse. The position involves leading and supporting the technical evaluation of data models, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, server specifications, and reporting tool capabilities. The Database Architect will also identify and assist in the development of data ETL processes, which are crucial for the effective management and utilization of data within the organization. Additionally, the Database Architect will lead the development of documentation, processes, and diagrams that are essential for the data warehouse. Participation in discussions with third-party vendors related to the data warehouse will also be a key responsibility. The Database Architect will work diligently with District stakeholders to ensure that the data warehouse adheres to best practices and meets IT security standards, thereby safeguarding the integrity and security of the data managed by the organization.
