The Oracle SaaS Engineering organization is at the forefront of building and operating the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications service, which is a comprehensive suite of enterprise SaaS applications integrated with AI capabilities, all running on the next-generation Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This organization is trusted by leading companies worldwide to manage their critical business functions, with services available across more than 30 OCI regions and continuously expanding to new areas. In this role, you will join the SaaS Continuity Engineering team, which is tasked with designing and building systems and services that ensure Oracle can deliver exceptional availability and performance for its SaaS offerings. As a Senior Database Architect, you will be responsible for architecting high-availability and service continuity solutions that span the entire technology stack, including infrastructure, database, platform, and application services, along with all dependent components. Your engineering innovations will play a crucial role in ensuring that SaaS services remain available to customers without disruptions, even during large-scale incidents. You will be expected to design and architect solutions that enable Oracle Database to operate at scale while maximizing availability and performance. Collaboration with other engineering teams will be essential as you work on the architecture, design, and implementation of SaaS services and the underlying database platform in a distributed cloud environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a deep understanding of Oracle Database and Exadata technology, particularly in large-scale deployments. This position will also involve driving the technical architecture of service continuity solutions, contributing to product strategy, and developing next-generation availability and resiliency features for Oracle's SaaS cloud environment.
