About The Position

As a Database Architect Senior at ENGIE FlexGen in Houston, Texas, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of the database architecture for the central data repository. This role supports the data modeling needs of the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) analytics team and involves a variety of software development activities, often requiring you to be the sole development resource on projects. You will report directly to the Software Director of Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, information technology, or a related field, or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of five years of experience designing and implementing databases in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PERL, Python, R, or similar.
• Understanding of software configuration management systems like Git or Subversion.
• Familiarity with MathWorks tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Coder, toolboxes, Designer) for modeling and simulation.

Responsibilities
