About the position

As a Database Architect at HMG America LLC, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying business process management solutions using the Appian platform. This position requires a deep understanding of database management, particularly with Oracle and PL/SQL, as well as advanced skills in Appian BPM. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Appian developers, collaborating closely with business analysts, project managers, and testers to ensure the successful implementation of complex process models and user interfaces. Your expertise will be essential in applying best practices and standards for Appian development and deployment, ensuring the quality and performance of applications developed on the platform. In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing support to end-users and clients. Staying updated with the latest Appian features and technologies will be vital, as you will be expected to provide recommendations for improvements. You will also coordinate with on-site engineers and participate in customer calls, raising risks and issues to senior management and customers as necessary. Your ability to perform data analysis and modeling will be critical, as you will query the Oracle database and work with SQL/PL SQL to create views and joins. Additionally, you will be involved in data migration activities, ensuring process improvement and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor other Appian developers.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and testers.
• Design and implement complex process models, user interfaces, integration components, and reports using Appian Designer, Appian Sites, and Appian Tempo.
• Apply best practices and standards for Appian development and deployment.
• Ensure quality and performance of Appian applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and provide support to end-users and clients.
• Stay updated with the latest Appian features and technologies and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with on-site engineers and attend customer calls.
• Raise risks, issues, and escalations to senior management and customers.
• Perform data analysis and modeling to query the Oracle database.
• Work with SQL/PL SQL to create views and joins.
• Transform data and manage data import/export activities.
• Participate in data migration activities to ensure process improvement and compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Database Architect or similar role.
• Advanced skills in Appian BPM and experience in designing, developing, and deploying solutions using the Appian platform.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases and PL/SQL.
• Experience in data analysis and modeling.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Strong understanding of database security and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/PL SQL for creating views and joins.
