About the position

The Database Architect role at Resource Informatics Group involves designing and implementing database solutions, ensuring high availability and performance, and providing guidance on best practices. The position requires extensive experience in database architecture, particularly with Oracle technologies, and involves collaboration with various teams to support project requirements and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Review current solutions and provide guidance for assigned projects
• Identify best practices and standards for the team
• Attend daily agile calls
• Identify migration strategies and solutions
• Decompose solutions into Agile stories and timelines
• Ensure stability and high availability for all projects and solutions
• Track and manage the complete Request management life cycle using ITSM tools (SNOW/Rally)
• Create documentation and update the knowledge repository for solutions, standards, and training
• Support and provide guidance on incidents affecting assigned projects
• Collaborate with leaders and organizations across Sabre to review proposed solutions and recommendations
• Conduct capacity planning for migration strategies
• Ensure strategies and solutions meet required performance SLAs
• Design end-to-end database solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in database architecture or engineering
• 2 years of experience in architecture
• 6 years of experience in database architecture or engineering
• 2 years of hands-on database operations
• Expert level knowledge of Oracle and Couchbase/document databases
• Knowledge of replication and high availability technologies
• Familiarity with Git and Linux Operating System
• Experience with automation techniques such as Shell, Python, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform
• Knowledge of cloud concepts and working knowledge on a cloud platform
• Architecture design skills

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of MySQL, SQL Server, RDS, Cyberark, and IDM
