The Database Architect at Peraton plays a crucial role in the installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and maintenance of database systems. This position requires a Master's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar relevant field. The Database Architect will provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership regarding recommended courses of action, trade studies, architecture and design, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the AIMSS mission. In this role, the Database Architect will perform database maintenance and implementation activities that support software development and lab infrastructure capabilities. They will have expertise in maintaining the operational structure of databases and managing database configuration. The position also involves developing operational user language for interfacing with SQL database applications, ensuring that appropriate backup and disaster recovery measures are in place and documented. The Database Architect will be responsible for developing database queries, scripts, reports, stored procedures, and documentation packages, as well as understanding change control and version control testing processes and procedures. Additionally, they will have experience in developing SQL Server database applications that support asset-based scheduling applications, which include defined assets, conditions, constraints, test objectives, and other necessary objects.
