About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Manager to oversee our database systems and ensure their optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in database design and administration, focusing on high availability and reliability. You will play a critical role in managing our databases, implementing best practices, and supporting our development teams to enhance data accessibility and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Ensure high availability of database systems through effective monitoring, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Administer databases on Linux servers, optimizing performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Write and maintain PL/SQL scripts for data manipulation and reporting purposes.
• Utilize SSIS for data integration tasks between various systems.
• Develop scripting solutions to automate routine database maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application development and data access requirements.
• Monitor database performance metrics and implement enhancements as needed.
• Conduct regular audits of database security protocols to protect sensitive information.

Requirements

• Proven experience in database design and administration, particularly with high availability systems.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems as they relate to database management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation purposes.
• Ability to vaticinate potential issues within the database environment and proactively address them.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.
