About the position

The Database Developer/Administrator III will work as part of a Scrum Team, focusing on developing and maintaining database solutions, particularly using Oracle technologies. This role involves completing user stories, addressing bugs, and managing technical debt while ensuring database performance and security. The position requires collaboration with team members to evaluate user requests and provide technical assistance, as well as integrating PL/SQL code into Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Complete user stories, bugs, and technical debt as part of a Scrum Team.
• Review, update, and develop PL/SQL including LRS and other Oracle Spatial operations.
• Integrate PL/SQL code into Azure DevOps code repository.
• Evaluate user requests for new data elements and features, providing necessary technical assistance.
• Perform data modeling, prototyping, and maintain a data dictionary ensuring uniformity of definitions and standards.
• Monitor database performance and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Help resolve database-related security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Assist with required reporting as established by the client.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Oracle Spatial (dynamic segmentation, LRS, SDO).
• Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience with version control systems (Azure DevOps, GIT).
• Familiarity with SQL Developer or other similar IDEs.
• Experience with Esri ArcSDE (integration with Oracle Spatial).

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (project management, user stories/bugs/test cases, etc.).
• Experience with Eclipse.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
