About the position

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking experienced Database Developer and Administrator personnel for our client's operational requirements on a mission-focused program within a dynamic setting located in the Maryland area. Successful candidates in this position will collaborate with a diverse group of individuals across the intelligence community and directly contribute to the management and analysis of cybersecurity data impacting policy, planning, and operations. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud-based SQL database development, as well as the ability to implement, update, and manage various database environments. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, provenance, and quality while also developing user access controls and database security measures in compliance with client and community policies. In this position, you will be tasked with coordinating with the cybersecurity risk management team to develop and maintain a system security plan for assessment and authorization processes. Collaboration with client and community partners is essential to gather and interpret requirements, ensuring that developed solutions meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills for technical writing and oral briefings, and will have experience producing executive-level products. This role is critical in supporting the operational needs of the intelligence community and requires a proactive approach to database management and security.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, update, and manage cloud-based SQL database development, test, and production database environments integrating client's data.
  • Ensure data integrity, provenance, and quality through extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) capabilities.
  • Manage database support tools, database software, and security updates.
  • Create data models, design documentation, operational guidelines, user documentation, and configuration management to meet client's requirements.
  • Establish user access controls, database security, and data encryption in compliance with client and community policies, directives, and standards.
  • Coordinate with the cybersecurity risk management team to develop and maintain a system security plan for assessment and authorization processes.
  • Collaborate with client and community partners to gather and interpret requirements and develop solutions that meet client's technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.
  • Typically requires a BS degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of a BS degree.
  • Strong communication skills for technical writing and oral briefings.
  • Experience producing executive-level products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Knowledge of and experience working with IC policies, directives, and standards.
  • Experience with MS Azure cloud technologies.
  • Experience with data visualization tools/software (e.g., Tableau, MS PowerBI) to develop and deliver data analysis solutions and visualizations.
