About the position

The Database Developer/Administrator will be responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of program databases, including the transition of existing MS Access databases to PostgreSQL on AWS. This role involves working closely with end users and clients to enhance database applications and support intelligence operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain program databases.
• Support enhancement and migration based on client requirements.
• Maintain and update existing MS Access and PostgreSQL databases.
• Transition MS Access database into RDS PostgreSQL instance on AWS.
• Migrate databases into a cloud environment.
• Develop new database architectures based on operating environment and customer requirements.
• Advise on future database requirements in support of intelligence and analytical operations.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience working with the military or IC agency.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Four (4) years of experience designing, building, and maintaining Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS) including MS Access, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or Oracle.
• Two (2) years of experience working with VBA.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Six (6) years of experience with a Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Six (6) years of experience working with MS Access.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
• Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP, MCSE, MCDBA) certification or equivalent.
