In this role, the Database Developer/Analyst will be responsible for performing data collection, data wrangling, data cleaning, testing, and troubleshooting on large quantities of corporate operations data. The successful candidate will provide configuration and data management for various data, information, files, and documents. Additionally, the role involves designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring database solutions. Collaboration with software engineers will be essential to create and update database tables, procedures, and triggers based on technical requirements. The Database Developer/Analyst will utilize SQL to query database tables and troubleshoot data issues, as well as use Python to facilitate data transmission between databases and applications. Evaluating current database designs and structures to identify and recommend optimization opportunities will also be a key responsibility, along with implementing and testing database improvements. Other duties may be assigned as required, making this a dynamic and engaging position within our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data collection, data wrangling, data cleaning, testing, and troubleshooting on large quantities of corporate operations data.
  • Provide configuration and/or data management for data, information, files, and documents.
  • Design, develop, implement, maintain, and monitor database solutions.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to create/update database tables, procedures, and triggers based on technical requirements.
  • Use SQL to query database tables and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Use Python to facilitate data transmission between databases and applications.
  • Evaluate current database design and structures; identify and recommend optimization opportunities; implement and test database improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Oracle database experience creating/updating tables and packages required.
  • SQL experience required.
  • Python experience required.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, macros, VBA) required.
  • Data analysis and troubleshooting experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Qlik or Tableau desired.
  • Experience providing support to a NAVAIR IT organization/environment desired.
