About the position

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer / Architect to join our team. This position requires a Top Secret security clearance, with the option for an interim TS acceptable. The role is hybrid, necessitating on-site collaboration in Orlando, FL or Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

• Support of Design Engineering by performing design activities to analyze and refine requirements using various methodologies throughout the lifecycle of the system
• Maintain and update the Common Database and the Database Design Description
• Monitor the database performance and provide recommendations for improvement or when new tables are to be designed; new data elements or when unused tables are to be retired without any operational impact
• Focus areas within the Design Engineering includes engineering assessment, pilots and initiatives, modeling and simulation, and systems analysis and investigation
• Work in an Agile environment to deliver solutions efficiently - backlog items will be assigned to individual staff as sprint or Kanban tasks that include definition of done and acceptance criteria for task completion.

Requirements

• Strong experience with databases, Oracle, Postgres, SQL, and database design
• Proficiency in Visual Studio
• SATCOM Background
• Ability to work in Agile environment
• Degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
