About the position

The Database Developer (AWS) position involves providing database engineering expertise to support various tasks including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of database systems. The role requires significant experience in developing business software solutions to automate workflows and enhance system functionality. The candidate will work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team, engaging with technical and non-technical staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide database engineering expertise for design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of database systems.
• Develop business software solutions to automate company workflows and tasks.
• Participate in and implement feedback from code reviews.
• Identify product/systems enhancements to improve tool appeal and overall functionality.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements

• Access database development experience using linked tables, unbound forms, VBA code, DAO/ADO.
• SQL Server administration and development experience.
• Schema design expertise.
• Proficiency in T-SQL with stored procedures and views.
• Experience with Query Analyzer, indexing, and SQL scripting.
• Knowledge of user-defined functions and common table expressions.
• Experience with application/database roles, Reporting Services, and Integration Services.
• Basic networking skills.
• PHP/Web development experience.
• AWS/RDS experience.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio/Dev Ops.
• Must possess a Secret US DoD security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SEI CMMI ML 2 or 3.
• Good working knowledge of security best practices.
