About the position

Capgemini is seeking a skilled Database Developer with extensive experience in Oracle and SQL Server to support ongoing projects. The role involves writing complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, transforming SQL Server queries to Oracle, and managing data migrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, performance tuning, and ETL processes, along with the ability to work independently in client environments.

Responsibilities

• Write complex SQL and PL/SQL queries.
• Transform native SQL Server queries to Oracle queries.
• Solve migration code issues in Oracle PL/SQL.
• Manage data migration from one platform to another.
• Understand validation and reconciliation processes during data migrations.
• Optimize database performance through tuning.
• Design and implement ETL processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a database developer in Oracle and SQL Server.
• Strong experience with ETL processes and performance optimization.
• Expertise in data migration and data warehousing concepts.
• Basic understanding of Python and R.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud platforms like Snowflake and AWS.
