About the position

The Database Developer position at Cydecor involves joining the Navy Readiness ing Enterprise (NRRE) team to develop and maintain software applications that support U.S. Navy readiness reporting and management. The role requires leading major database development tasks, mentoring peers, and engaging in daily development activities such as analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and participating in code reviews. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily tasking, participate in scheduled team meetings, and assess requirements for database development needs
• Responsible for database project solution structure, configuration management, source code, and documentation
• Design, implement and maintain database structures to support Web Software application data retention needs, including providing support for database unit testing, installation, and modification

Requirements

• Strong understanding of databases, including principles of database design and experience interfacing with or designing databases (MS SQL Server), stored procedures
• Experience in Server-side Web Application development using Visual Studio and any of the C# Microsoft ASP.NET frameworks, including .Net Core is a plus
• Understanding of component frameworks such as ReactJs, VueJs, Angular
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills within a multi-disciplinary team of peers
• Knowledge of and/or experience working in an agile environment
• Requires strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to express ideas and design benefits/drawbacks to a technical and non-technical audience
