At DANE, we are seeking a talented and experienced Database Developer to join our fast-paced agile team in Chantilly, VA. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence twice a month or as needed. The successful candidate will possess strong software and database development skills, with a focus on database software development experience in either Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft T-SQL, or both. The role involves developing and deploying scripts, supporting management activities, and ensuring the quality and stability of our database systems. As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for understanding distributed database architecture, utilizing database tools such as SQL Developer, SQL Plus, Toad, and SQL Server Management Studio. You will support database management activities, improve database quality, and develop scripts that meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs). Your expertise in Oracle database performance, integrity, and security will be crucial in writing packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers, as well as driving data quality and providing production support. Additionally, you will define and create data structures for schemas, including tables, views, and indexes, while adhering to best practices for database storage management, high availability, and data replication. Familiarity with GitLab source code management and deploying software/database using CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins will be essential. You will also support technical documentation and contribute innovative solutions to troubleshoot issues and meet customer needs.
