The Database Developer position at SPECTRAFORCE is a critical role within the Corporate Finance team, specifically focusing on the Oracle Database Application Analyst responsibilities. This position is designed for individuals with a minimum of 2 years of experience in database application development or administration, particularly within the financial services sector. The primary function of this role is to maintain and enhance internal financial reporting database applications that support the Actuarial department's needs for life insurance financial and valuation reporting. As a Database Application Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing and enhancing database applications for both new and existing life insurance products. This includes automating reporting requirements, ensuring the successful monthly load of the data warehouse, and creating control processes. You will also be tasked with producing various reports, including automated reports and ad hoc analyses. A significant aspect of this role involves translating complex business and actuarial requirements into programming specifications and technology solutions, necessitating collaboration with business, finance, and technology teams. In addition to application development, this role includes providing production support, specifically L2 and L3 support for FMD Oracle database applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Oracle databases, proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, and experience with Linux operating systems, along with excellent communication and analytical skills. This position is remote and is expected to last for 12 months, offering a dynamic work environment where you can contribute to the financial systems database team.
