The Database Developer (Mid) position at Jacobs involves working within a team focused on large-scale data analysis projects. The role is crucial for developing and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based applications, ensuring that the tools and applications meet the operational needs of the organization. The position requires a Top Secret clearance and is based in Huntsville, AL or Chantilly, VA, contributing to the mission of accelerating operations through data and analytical insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop SQL and PL/SQL backend reports to support user needs.
• Create custom scripts to automate various database management processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance.
• Develop, optimize, and tune stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries.
• Interface with customers, users, and developers as needed.
• Maintain the database schema and design.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise on data ingestion from various sources.
• Assume responsibility for quarterly data refresh and deployment.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in database development
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL development
• Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with geospatial applications and MongoDB DBA.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Vue.js, .NET, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
• Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation
• Knowledge of AngularJS, BootstrapVue, Chart.js, and D3.js
• Experience with Telerik and PDFSharp.
