About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with various versions of PostgreSQL and proficiency in database development and data manipulation using PL/PG. This role involves working with complex data models, database objects, and cloud-based services to ensure efficient and effective data management and storage.

Responsibilities

• Work with various versions of PostgreSQL (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) to support our data infrastructure.
• Develop, write, and execute scripts or programs using PL/PG.
• Utilize tools like PGADMIN or DBeaver for development tasks within PostgreSQL.
• Design and implement complex data models, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers in PostgreSQL using PGADMIN or PL/PG.
• Experience working with AWS services such as S3, Step Functions, Lambda, Aurora, and RDS.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all database objects and operations.
• Demonstrate competency in working with complex data models and creating scripts for various database object types, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers in PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• Proven experience with PostgreSQL versions 11 through 16.
• Proficiency in one or more PostgreSQL management and development tools (PL/PG, PGADMIN, or DBeaver).
• Extensive experience in scripting and programming using PL/PG.
• Solid understanding of complex data models and database scripting across various object types.
• Experience with one or more of AWS services, including S3, Step Functions, Lambda, Aurora, and RDS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience AWS with Aurora-Postgres
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
